So yesterday I’m attempting to leave my apartment to go to my parent’s house to do some laundry. It’s snowing. I hate it when it snows and I have to drive. My car doesn’t even perform well when it rains, much less when it snows. I get out on the roads and say to myself several times I should just go back home. I should have listened to my instincts, but instead reminded myself that I had a really busy day and probably should have gotten started earlier on it anyway. I wasn’t rushing or anything, I was actually going at a pretty decent pace when I was turning left from Armstrong Mill onto Tates Creek Road when I start sliding. Then it became a game of “Is the jack ass attempting to turn right onto Tates Creek going to look my way and STOP MOVING WHILE LOOKING THE OTHER WAY AND TALKING ON HIS CELL PHONE!” Thankfully, yes he did. I still ended up slamming into the curb.
I still managed to limp my way down Tates Creek road to the library where I called AAA and had them tow me. When the tow driver arrived, that’s when we realized that I had busted a wheel on my front right tire, and my tire was flat. Great.
So I got a ride back to my parents house where I eventually got the spare tire in my trunk on my car, at least this will allow me to drive it. I ended up hitching a ride to Rachel’s house for their Christmas party, spent the night at Mom’s while finishing my laundry before driving home this morning.
This is of course when I noticed the odd drifting of my car to the left. My alignment is apparently now also fucked. Great.
So while I was thinking about all this when I got home this morning I wrote a little Christmas song:
Tis the season for car repairs,
Fa la la la la la la la FUCK!
Go in debt into my parents
Fa la la la la la la la FUCK!
Screw the asshole and his cell phone
Fa la la la la la la FUCK!
Oh well so much for Christmas income
Fa la la la la la la FUCK!
First before I repy, the word I have to type for security is “Poopte.” I assume thats pass-tense for poop.
Cars suck. They know when to break down as to cause the most issues in your life.
