This week featured many exciting developments for our characters as they left behind the Jolly Good Bread Factory after a fight with the second in command of security at the facility and his SWAT team. Are Tony and Susie done for good? What kind of future does Bishop have in store for him and why did someone want him dead so many years ago? Where the hell did Detroit disapear with Janet Li anyway? All these questions and more answered in this weeks installment.
Our heroes were left in quite the pickle at the end of the last session. They were left staring down the second of command of security at the factory, a man who’s only known as Mr. Lawrence, with a group of 15 SWAT members behind him holding AK-47s pointed at the group.
A tense stand off occurs until Bishop started off the fight by throwing a magic grenade into the middle of the SWAT team, which fizzled but set off the fight of grand fashion. Ice spears were thrown, candy was tripped upon and the sprinkler system was set off! Eventually the group defeated the security team and were politely allowed to exit the building by the
All this while Detroit Washington and Janet Li got soaked by Bishop setting off the sprinklers, tip toed through the tulips together, discussed if either one was intentionally evil, had some brunch and decided to move in together.
After returning The Jammers who were being held captive to their compatriots the group gets word that all of the hostages have been released and that the remaining Jammers in the building have made a successful retreat. At this point the order is given to blow up the building anyway. No innocents were hurt, and The Jammers still managed to destroy a Feng Shui site. Everyone wins, right?
After the situation calmed down a bit Bishop began to demand answers. He wanted to know who he is in the future, why he was attacked so many years ago by the Abomination and why they would have wanted him dead. The Jammers are only able to tell him that he was a great general that helped to lead the succession of Texas from the United States in the early days of the Buro’s take over and had been a great leader of The Dallas Rockets, a group of insurgents who still work to keep the Buro out of Texas. The Jammers said that they had no other information on him, but would work on getting him a contact within the Dallas Rockets.
Meanwhile various other members of the group are taking care of their business. Kang has been called off to do other work and phases out of our reality and into another. Detroit Washington was off decorating his new condo and Tony was getting around to taking care of the final bits of business surrounding his brother Danny and letting Susie know that he was alive.
The news was not taken well upon arriving at her doorstep. Looking pretty disheveled despite his best attempts to hide his wounds and then handing her a letter from her former lover who she has believed to be dead for the past 5 years. After a few moments of silence she tells him that she needs some time to think about it and closes the door to her apartment leaving Tony outside.
As part of the agreement with The Jammers for saving their comrades they offer their services with a map to the Netherworld where they will be able to find The Hub where they believe that The Turtle Twins are currently stationed at. They bring in a young man by the name of Jamaal Hopkins. He doesn’t talk or exchange pleasantries with anyone, even The Jammers. However when asked where the location of The Hub is he is able to give them directions in explicit detail.
Filled with a new resolve Tony comes home and opened up his closet. Pulling out his staff and old training gi from his closet Tony finally felt ready to track down and avenge those who had killed his master. No more holding back, it’s game time.
From here the group heads into the Netherworld where following the directions of Jamaal Hopkins they easily find the location of The Hub… Or at least where they believe it’s supposed to be. After a few minutes of inspecting the grounds Gar-Chi is able to study the geomancy of the area and determine that it’s the feng shui of the area that is hiding the building. After a few minutes he is able to break part of the feng shui of the area to reveal a back door to The Hub. Upon entering the group walks into a long hallway full of doorways. After inspecting a few doors and realizing they weren’t really getting anywhere, Detroit Washington decides to do his best to alert to guards to their presence. He is successful.
After a fight with the guards all while the Abomination of the group is constantly asking where the bathroom is a young, brute of a man turns the corner and while a young boy who looks to be about 10 or 12 years old peeks around his legs he motions toward the door with the sign that says “Restroom” and says “It’s right there.” Introducing: The Turtle Twins.
